I hope you stay with me until the end of this column.
Of course, there will be a certain percentage of readers who will make their way through a paragraph or two, then move on to something that is more interesting (to them). Others will drag their way through the entire piece and take away little or nothing from the ideas I share.
A precious few will read and understand. I admit that this small number of readers probably knew the truth before they started. However, I will continue.
Why is the title of this column “What Are Your Intentions?”
There are many, many people in public office and at the head of major corporations who say their intentions are good, when, in fact, their intentions are just the opposite.
For example, politicians and their corporate sponsors continue to feed this to the U.S. population: The Social Security program is insolvent, out of money etc. The truth is just the opposite.
That question brings us to the heart of the discussion.
Human beings know the difference between right and wrong. They know if their actions or words are for the general good (or not for the general good). Knowing this, however, does not keep some individuals from moving forward with bad intentions.
As mentioned previously, these individuals will publicly state that they have the general good in mind. But they obviously don’t.
Targeting such programs as Social Security and Medicare is simply an attempt to transfer more of the working man’s money into the bank accounts of those who already have more than enough.
These folks intend to make a lot of money and/or put themselves in a position of control. Their intentions are seldom publicly stated and come to light long after the damage is done.
